Overview

An all outdoor space, Black Angus hot dogs, and $2 cans of Pabst create a recipe for summertime success.

History

No yachts, just hot dogs and pierogis

Local restaurateur Alan Harding opened Gowanus Yacht Club in 20021, and by 2011 Patch was calling it an early trailblazer in the beer garden revival that had since touched every borough1. When we listed it, we praised the Black Angus hot dogs and the cheap cans of Pabst; Patch found hot dogs cooked with Six Point beer, pierogis and deceptively simple hamburgers1.
