History
Renovated, and nobody could tell
Abilene opened in 2006 as a low-key dive bar on Court Street at 3rd Place1, and when we listed it we called it retro-cool, with a relaxed local vibe. It once closed for several days for renovations that none of the patrons could pinpoint1: new bar wood, a new floor and new shelving, and the same spot otherwise1. It's still at 442 Court Street2, listed these days as a bar and grill, a dive bar and a lounge3.
