Overview

Behind its incospicous Smith Street façade lies a former Italian social club turned hip bar. Sticking close to its roots it retains a feel of old world decadence.

History

Members only, until 2004

When we listed it, we liked how close this hip bar stuck to its roots, with a feel of old world decadence behind an inconspicuous Smith Street front. Those roots were the Society Riposto, a private Sicilian club¹. The doors opened to the public in 2004¹, and Brooklyn Social still lists 335 Smith Street¹.
