Overview

If you like Yuengling and you like happy hour, how does $2 a pint sound.

History

All you can drink, if it's your birthday

The legend at Cheap Shots was the birthday special: all you could drink, for free1. There was interior graffiti and there were video games1, and our listing sold it on Yuengling at two dollars a pint during happy hour.

In 2010 a bust for allowing underage drinking led to a change of ownership and, supposedly, a new name1. By the time Eater poured one out for the late, great Cheap Shots, the graffiti, the games and the birthday special were all gone1.

The space later became the Hard Swallow2, which closed after service on a Saturday night in September 20233. In January 2024 Area 140 opened in the Hard Swallow's former home2, and reviews of it were still coming in as of June 20264.
