Overview

It's easy to pass the time at this friendly gay and lesbian bar. Twenty somethings easily mingle thanks a variety of cruising conveyances, a pool table, pinball, karaoke machine, and video games

History

Still going Nowhere

Nowhere is a basement dive on 14th Street that had already been open for decades by 2019, a friendly, spacious room with an intimacy-heightening low ceiling and attitude-free crowds1, 2. We listed its cruising conveyances: a pool table, pinball, a karaoke machine and video games. By 2018 its screens were playing artsy videos and offbeat porn while DJs worked an unofficial dance floor, and now there are drag shows and go-go dancers too2, 3. In February 2026 the party CAKE celebrated its first anniversary at Nowhere, which the magazine announcing it called iconic4.
