Overview

A Bar as ode to the automobile. The Detroit natives who own this bar have created a remarkably comfortable bar despite the fact its bedecked in auto paraphernalia.

History

Parked on Ludlow for nearly seventeen years

We called Motor City an ode to the automobile, and remarkably comfortable for a bar bedecked in auto paraphernalia. Two partners opened it on Ludlow Street in July 19961.

It ran for nearly 17 years1, 2. In February 2013 the landlord didn't give the owners the option to renew their lease, and the bar closed at the end of June2.

By July 2015 a bar called SET had replaced it at 127 Ludlow Street3. Today the address is home to Dulce, a Dominican restaurant4.
