In 2010 Time Out found a dim, pint-size, old-world pub, with foamy pints of Guinness, posters of Irish luminaries on the walls and a jukebox that ran to the Clash, the Misfits and Prince1. In 2014 the Village Voice called it one of the Lower East Side's most redoubtable old dives: rowdy and dim, with creaky arcade games, sticker-plastered bathrooms and extremely strong drinks2. We called it an anachronism on a newly self-conscious Lower East Side, and it's still on Ludlow Street3.
Researched October 2026.
