Overview

Jet black leather couches, lava red carpets, an illuminated bar, and a stripper pole set the vibe at this ultra-trendy DJ lounge in the Hotel Rivington. Head to the right from the lobby or failing that the steel grey doors outside.

History

Jet black couches, short shelf life

105 Riv opened in October 2007, three years after the hotel itself, and by June 2008 the Observer reported that the hotel nightclub had undergone a massive renovation, complete with a newly installed stripper pole^{1, 2}.

That's the room we listed: jet black leather couches, lava red carpets, an illuminated bar and the pole.

By 2009 the 105 Riv concept, along with the hotel's entire food and beverage program, was floundering, and the space was to be rechristened CV³. The hotel carries on, and 105 Rivington Street now belongs to Tigre^{4, 5}.
