History

The future lasted until 2012

Our old listing put it simply: it's a bar and a restaurant, and it's on Mars. Mars 2112 was built in 19991, and all it asked was that you eat and drink with your tongue in your cheek.

In January 2012 it was going out of business1, and the Observer reported that Mars 2112 at 1633 Broadway had closed1.

The address came back down to Earth in July 2024, when Din Tai Fung opened in the space that used to be Mars 21122.
