History

Times Square's last pocket of depravity

Bare Elegance was a gentlemen's club and lounge on the second floor at 216 West 50th Street¹. When we listed it, the cover was ten dollars, the dances ten dollars and the drinks six. In May 2010 Vanishing New York reported that it had finally, inevitably shuttered, and called it the very last pocket of depravity left in Times Square².
