Inc. was the Time hotel's second-floor lounge, run by Ric Addison of Ava Lounge and Rm.Fifty5, with a jet-black bar flanked by patent leather settees and curvy striped leather club chairs1, 2, 3. There was an antique-inspired black lacquer pool table, and the drink to order was the Gin & Sin: Bombay Sapphire, Chambord, and lemon and lime juice2, 3. We called it a decidedly eighties twist on rock-and-roll chic, and a local for refugees from the Times Square mayhem. Inc. is gone, and since a multimillion-dollar renovation unveiled in December 2015 the second floor has been LeGrande, a restaurant and cocktail lounge that the Rockwell Group modeled on the gentlemen's clubs of the 1960s3, 4, 5.
