Overview

A truly great neighborhood pub. Friendly atmosphere, attentive bar staff, a great selection of single-malts, over 20 taps, and two hand pumps for cask conditioned ales.

History

Cask ale, law school Mondays, free Sunday bagels

In 2006 the Brazen Head was one of the few New York bars pouring cask ale, and it held a Cask Ale Festival three times a year1. Mondays were Brooklyn Law School Night, with free wings and $3.75 pints, and by 2010 Sunday breakfast was free, all-you-can-eat bagels and cream cheese2, 3. A 2009 pub walk made it the first stop, and the Brooklyn Paper called the place "Revolutionary War-tinged"4. It's still at 228 Atlantic Avenue, where Monday is now trivia night5, 6.
