History
Even the sign commuted from Manhattan
It has been O'Keefe's since 1960, through more than one change of owner1. Its sign once hung over a bar called the Savoy, at 41st Street and Ninth Avenue in Manhattan2. Come quitting time, the lawyers, politicos and jurors filed in one by one, and on weeknights students and business types packed the place1, 2. It's still at 62 Court Street3.
