History
The pizza moved out; the dusky corners stayed
When we listed it, we called Botanica a funky basement lounge. Time Out, reviewing it in August 2025, found most of its seating was thrift-store finds tucked into dusky corners1.
The kitchen is permanently closed, and the bar points anyone missing the pizza to Instagram for news of its new home2. Botanica is still at 47 East Houston Street2, open until 3 in the morning on Fridays2.
