History

Last call in 2017, then another round

When we listed Temple Bar, it was dimly lit, heavy on dark wood and velvet, and its strong cocktails struck us as pricey at twelve dollars, a complaint that now reads like a period detail. It had opened in 19891.

It was the sister cocktail bar to Noho Star, a casual American and Chinese cafe, and the two shared a final day at the end of 20172, 3.

A new ownership group later restored and refurbished it, and Temple Bar is back in its original location under new management1, 3. It's open from 5pm until late, seven days a week, at 332 Lafayette Street1.
