Overview

Communal seating at picnic tables and a swinging garage door inspire an indoor a beer garden vibe at this Polish bar. Better yet the selection of Eastern European lagers on hand will give the Bohemian Beer Garden in Queens a run for its money.

History

Eastern European lagers at picnic tables

Klimat was a Polish-Czech bar with picnic tables, strung lights and an Eastern European beer and cocktail list1, 2. Its basement held live music, private parties and a comedy room3, 4. In January 2010 a sign there seemed to offer hot beer, probably a misreading5. Klimat was still open in 2018, but the bar at 77 East 7th Street now answers Klimat's old phone number as B Lounge NYC, renting out three private rooms2, 6, 7.
