Last call, then the whole building

Our listing had the cheap drinks and food here drawing in NYU students and Village Voice writers. It was the Voice that reported the end: 35 Cooper Asian Pub, as the paper called it, closed permanently on a Saturday night in January 2011¹. By May the building at 35 Cooper Square was a pile of rubble².
