History

Third generation behind the same dive bar

Turkey's Nest opened in the 1980s as a local dive and sports bar, and that's still exactly how it describes itself¹. It's now on its third generation of management¹.

Four decades in, the dive is eyeing the great outdoors: in June 2026 Brooklyn Community Board 1 reviewed its application for a city outdoor dining permit². It's still at 94 Bedford Avenue³.
