History

A wine bar for beer drinkers

Von has been hosting revelers at 3 Bleecker Street, at the Bowery, since 1996¹. In December 2001 the community board took up its application to upgrade from beer and wine to a full on-premise license². In 2009 we called it a candlelit wine bar with plenty of beer drinkers and plenty of Village singles looking for action; three decades in, it still bills itself as your favorite downtown haunt, open every night from 4 pm until late¹.
