Overview

The long bar here fills with a friendly neighborhood crowd and the backyard garden is the site of many a fierce ping pong battle.

History

A candy store turned Irish-Scottish pub

Iona was established in 2000 in an old candy store on Grand Street near Bedford Avenue1. With owners from Ireland and Scotland, it considers itself an Irish and Scottish pub1, and it hosts a weekly session of traditional Scottish and Irish music1. When we listed it, the long bar filled with a friendly neighborhood crowd and the backyard garden was the site of many a fierce ping pong battle. It's still at 180 Grand Street, open until 4am Thursday through Saturday1.
