Overview

A Black Label and a shot of Evan Williams for $4 ensures that the Levee never runs dry. Add a Harley Davidson pinball machine at 3 games for $1 and you've got somebody's idea of heaven.

History

Free cheeseballs for over two decades

The Levee has been serving chili dogs, Frito pies and free cheeseballs for over two decades, by its own count1. It has been the Levee since 2005, in the space that once housed a bar called Kokie's1, 2.

When we listed it, we said a Black Label and a shot of Evan Williams for four bucks, plus a Harley Davidson pinball machine at three games for a dollar, made it somebody's idea of heaven. Heaven keeps long hours: the Levee is open daily from noon until 4 in the morning1.
