A separate lounge space next door to the steakhouse serves up an $85 48oz martini glass accompanied with a cheese an olive plate. That's the size of 12 martini's, so about $7/per. Bargain!

History

A dozen martinis, one glass

Dylan Prime was a Tribeca steakhouse on Greenwich Street, and its lounge next door was where Michael Waterhouse created the Key Lime Pie cocktail1, 2. We knew the lounge for its eighty-five-dollar martini glass that held forty-eight ounces, with a cheese and olive plate on the side: twelve martinis' worth, which by our arithmetic came to about seven dollars each, and a bargain.

The steakhouse opened in 20003. In 2013 the state seized it for nonpayment of taxes, and the owner filed for bankruptcy the same year1. It reopened after a nine-month hiatus and a refurbishment4. The second act ran until August 2015, when signs in the window said the restaurant had closed3.

By 2018 the 62 Laight Street address had gone to John Allan's Salon, to set it apart from the corner space facing Greenwich5. Since early May 2026 it has been the Audo Copenhagen showroom6.
