Overview

Always a great time, always cheap, always too crowded to stand. Boasts some of the cheapest and best burgers in the city, but order them at the bar and save yourself the queue.

History

Order the burger at the bar, we said

Corner Bistro is home to one of the most raved-about burgers in New York, in a classic pub the late Bill O'Donnell opened in the West Village in 19611. Our old listing called it always a great time, always cheap and always too crowded to stand, and told you to order your burger at the bar and save yourself the queue.

The Bistro once had a Long Island City outpost, which closed in 2020 while the West Village original carried on1. The original is still at 331 West 4th Street, open from 10 in the morning until 2, or until 4 from Thursday to Saturday2.
