Overview

Low key watering hole offers refuge to locals avoiding Smith Street's Saturday night crowds.

History

A quiet refuge, then Cajun and Creole

When we listed it, Brooklyn Tavern was a low-key watering hole where locals took refuge from Smith Street's Saturday night crowds. We couldn't find out when it closed, but by November 2018 its address, 31 Third Avenue, belonged to Claw Daddy's, a new Cajun and Creole spot1. Claw Daddy's was still drawing customers in June 20262.
