Overview

This sports pub is representative of the new Park Slope - a sort of Brooklyn Heights meets the Upper East Side. The jukebox is capable of blasting GN'R with an earnest exuberance rarely seen since the late Reagan era.

History

The tree grew ten stories

Cherry Tree was an Irish pub whose leafy namesake shaded a patio the size of a basketball court, where locals guzzled Hoegallons, megamugs of Hoegaarden, and ate freshly baked pizzas1. We filed it under the new Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights meets the Upper East Side, with a jukebox capable of blasting GN'R with an earnest exuberance rarely seen since the late Reagan era. Demolition permits for the four-story building at 65 Fourth Avenue were filed in March 20201, 2. By May 2024 a ten-story building with 30 rental units and 781 square feet of commercial space was wrapping up there3.
