Overview

Like Cherry Tree across the street this bar has a large and unique beer selection, an attractive space, and a killer garden. What it's missing is the beer pong frat crowd.

History

It takes two to make a Bar Row

In 2007 Brownstoner reckoned that Fourth Avenue's Bar Row, between Bergen Street and St. Marks Place, consisted of the Cherry Tree and Fourth Avenue Pub, with one more on the way1. By 2014 Brooklyn Magazine knew it as a cozy craft-beer spot with a yard spacious enough for night-long hangs, and counted its unlimited popcorn as a huge plus2. It celebrated 20 years in October 2026 with happy-hour prices all night long3.
