History

A comedian's pool hall, open 365 days

Amsterdam Billiards was founded in 1989 by the comedian David Brenner and two brothers, Greg and Ethan Hunt1. It calls itself New York City's original upscale billiard club, and it was previously located on the Upper West Side1.

We filed it under NoHo; the club puts itself in the heart of Union Square, at 110 East 11th Street between Third and Fourth Avenues1. It lists 25 Brunswick pool tables, with ping pong, darts, foosball and beer pong alongside1.

It's open to the public 365 days a year, from 11 in the morning until 3 the next morning1.
