History

Nearly twenty years, then the building sold

The Central Bar was a bi-level sports bar and lounge at 109 East Ninth Street, between Third and Fourth Avenues¹. The owners announced the closing on Instagram on March 18, 2021¹. Their notice said, "Our landlord has sold the building and the new owners will not be keeping us as tenants," and thanked patrons for nearly 20 years of patronage¹. MGNY Consulting now lists the ground floor as its address².
