Back then we said reasonable prices and a reputation for some of the best sushi in the city made for long lines outside and satisfied patrons inside. Tomoe Sushi closed in 2021 after almost 40 years in business, only to be resurrected months later as Tomo21 Sushi at the same 172 Thompson Street, with the menu unchanged¹. A review dated October 2026 sits on its listing, so the resurrection seems to have taken².
