Overview

Flowers, stone railings and wrought iron and wicker furniture attract a more conservative crowd than many of the city's other roof decks bars, but at $7 for a Pilsner Urquel it's a veritable roof deck bargain.

History

A bookmark that never lost its place

Bookmarks is still the rooftop bar of the Library Hotel, on the 14th floor of 299 Madison Avenue at 41st Street^{1, 2}. Harper Collins and the hotel even offer guests a package of great reads plus two drinks on the roof, good until March 2027¹. Back then we called it a veritable roof-deck bargain at seven dollars for a Pilsner Urquell, which tells you how long ago back then was.
