History

Moved to Times Square, memorabilia and all

When Hard Rock Cafe left 57th Street, the plan was to hand-deliver the last piece of memorabilia to its new Times Square home on August 11, 2005^{1, 2}. The cafe had been on 57th Street since 1984, at what Hard Rock International called its original location^{1, 2}.

The new cafe took the former site of the historic Paramount Theater, at 1501 Broadway, and dates itself from August 12, 2005^{1, 2, 3}. Hard Rock Cafe New York is still there³. Our listing, it seems, never got the memo and kept the old address.
