History

A long space, then a long vacancy

Tribeca Tavern's forever manager opened the bar in 1996¹. A 2008 guide counted more than 80 beers, bottled and draft². Our own review was taken with the room itself, huge and long, with a pool table and a neighborhood feel.

It closed for good on June 4, 2020, a victim of the pandemic¹. The building at 247 West Broadway sold in August 2025¹, and that November workers were doing demolition in the long-vacant space¹.
