History
Almost unrecognizable, on purpose
JoJo was Jean-Georges' first restaurant, established in 19911. Before 2016 the French bistro had closed for renovations just once, back in 20022, 3.
In October 2016 it closed for a total renovation3. When it reopened in November 2017 at the same address, 160 East 64th Street between Lexington and Third avenues, Eater called the new room almost unrecognizable3. The Michelin Guide still lists it there4.
