Overview

An Australian basement bar that's comfortable and warm, and manages to attract an over 20 crowd without being trendy or expensive.

History

Down Under, downstairs

Eight Mile Creek had a casual lounge downstairs, the Creek Lounge1. Our old review called it an Australian basement bar, comfortable and warm, that drew an over-twenty crowd without being trendy or expensive. It has since closed1. The cocktail bar the Mulberry is at 240 Mulberry Street now, and in December 2025 its team opened the all-day Café Mulberry just above it2, 3.
