History

The unholy marriage made it to twenty

Our old listing called Otto's an unholy marriage of a Hawaiian tiki bar and a metal club, and suggested a Zombie with your White Zombie. It opened as an East Village tiki bar in 2002, and in October 2022 it celebrated twenty years at 538 East 14th Street, between Avenues A and B^{1, 2}. At the anniversary, the owners were Nell Mellon, Steve Pang and Patricia Lou².

These days the back room hosts open mics and shows, and the bar is still there¹.
