Still pouring

Overview

It's tiny and often crowded, but the light makes the crowd look as delicious as the tapas, and the wine list is both thoughtful and reasonable.

History

Casa Mono's sister, still right next door

In 2003 Andy Nusser became chef and partner of Casa Mono and Bar Jamón, both of them odes to the food he grew up with in Spain1. We said the light made the crowd look as delicious as the tapas. It's still right next door to its sister restaurant, Casa Mono, at Irving Place and 17th Street, just east of Union Square2.
