Overview

Head into the Hotel and to the Mercer Kitchen, walk past the host stand, and head for the back stairs. If you're lucky you'll make it down to a tiny AAA list basement haunt. If you're not, no amount of money, pleading, or models on your arm will get you in.

History

Still underground, still exclusive

We used to give directions: into the Mercer Hotel, past the Mercer Kitchen's host stand, down the back stairs, and then hope you were lucky, because if you weren't, no amount of money, pleading or models on your arm would get you in. By March 2024 an all-new Submercer had emerged beneath the hotel, open Thursday through Saturday from 10 PM until late¹. Its operator calls it an exclusive lounge, so bring your luck².
