Overview

This candlelit basement lounge below the corner restaurant SB3 is small, dark and true to it name - sexy. In an environment such as this the burlesque shows can be almost too hot to handle.

History

From burlesque to brunch to a limo

When we listed it, this was a candlelit basement lounge under the corner restaurant: small, dark and given to burlesque shows. In March 2009 the corner became Poco, a bar at 33 Avenue B that built a devoted following for its boozy weekend brunches^{1, 2, 3, 4}. Poco closed in November 2025 after more than 16 years³. Limo Bar, a lounge built to feel like the back seat of a stretch limousine, was due to soft-open in its place in mid-June 2026^{5, 6}.
