Overview

A marketing blitz has brought out the weekend hordes to this former M bar space. Velvet ropes, lists at the door, and hundreds of people with nothing in common except for the fact they like going to newly opened bars.

History

Discreet, apart from the velvet ropes

The Randolph took over the old M Bar space1, and Gothamist called it a dark and discreet cocktail lounge, deemed one of the top ten bars of 20072. Our own review mostly noticed the velvet ropes. It expanded across Broome Street with Randolph Beer in 20123, and by 2016 Time Out had the original marked closed1. In 2018 The Garret Nolita, one of Den Hospitality's Garret cocktail bars, opened in the space, this one with slushie drinks and a tropical theme1, 4, 5.
