We used to say that, depending on your perspective, Keat's was either a solid Irish bar and restaurant that became a karaoke wasteland Thursday through Saturday, or a boring Second Avenue McIrish bar that became an Abbatastic paradise. Eater's closings list offered a third view: a 44-year-old karaoke and Indianapolis Colts fans bar at 842 Second Avenue, near East 45th Street¹. It closed on Sunday, August 24, 2025¹.
