Tea for one, $130 before tax and tip

When we listed it, the Gotham Lounge was a small, simply appointed, vaguely Victorian cocktail lounge on the second floor of the Peninsula. It's still there, at 700 Fifth Avenue at 55th Street, open Wednesday to Sunday from 3pm to 10pm^{1, 2}. Starting September 9, 2026, it's also where the hotel serves afternoon tea, at $130 a guest before tax and an 18 percent gratuity¹.
