History

Raised its masts and sailed away

The East Village Yacht Club started out at 42 East 1st Street1, 2. It moved to Kelley & Peng's former space on the Bowery, and on April 28, 2008, Grub Street reported that it would raise its masts and sail away, nautical to the end2. Our own listing was still announcing the move to the Bowery after the club had sailed.
