Overview

Reminiscent of a Williamsburg scene that hasn't existed for almost a decade anywhere near Bedford Avenue. DuckDuck has a low-key cool kid vibe and perhaps even more importantly really cheap beer. Try the Schmidt Face - a can of Schmidt and a shot of whiskey for $5.

History

Already nostalgic in 2009, still open now

When we listed it, we said duckduck recalled a Williamsburg scene that hadn't existed anywhere near Bedford Avenue for almost a decade, and we sent readers for the Schmidt Face, a can of Schmidt and a shot of whiskey. A 2017 review said it had been open since 2001, and it's still at 153 Montrose Avenue, open from 4 pm to 4 am1, 2. A bar that was nostalgic when we found it is now old enough to be nostalgia itself.
