Overview

This New York outpost of the global Buddha Bar brand of supper clubs will relieve you of your Benjamin's faster than you can say "This is way cooler than a Hard Rock Café."
This New York outpost of the global Buddha Bar brand of supper clubs will relieve you of your Benjamin's faster than you can say "This is way cooler than a Hard Rock Café." If your idea of a good time is spending an hour waiting in line then dropping a few hundred dollars while mingling with folks from Oregon to Florida and leaving with a picture of yourself under a giant statue of the Buddha, may we recommend Disney's Epcot Center instead.

History

Buddha Bar became Ajna, then closed

When we listed Buddha Bar, we called it the New York outpost of a global brand of supper clubs that would relieve you of your Benjamins faster than you could say "This is way cooler than a Hard Rock Café." In September 2009 it reopened as Ajna Bar, a Meatpacking lounge at 25 Little West 12th Street1, 2, 3. On May 8, 2013, Eater reported that Ajna had closed sometime in the previous two months2. What took the space, we couldn't find out.
