History

Ten million dollars of sports lounge

The venue at 6 West 25th Street was a favorite of star athletes like LeBron James, and it played host to album-release parties, celebrity birthday bashes and appearances by the Obamas1. It belonged to Jay-Z, who had owned the Flatiron sports lounge since it opened in 20031, 2.

In 2012 it reopened after a $10 million renovation2. It lasted eleven more years: the original Flatiron location ceased operations in July 2023, after two decades1, 2.

The club's website, for its part, says: "We are currently closed but coming soon"3.
