History

Candles, couches and couples by the dozen

We called it a candlelit, Victorian-themed room where neighborhood locals hid from the weekend tourists. Time Out saw Art Nouveau rather than Victorian but agreed about the candles: a dimly lit den whose baroque couches and candle-filled fireplaces drew couples by the dozen¹. It has since closed for good^{1, 2}.
