Same bar, now Célon Bar & Lounge

Overview

An absurdly expensive, uneven, imitation wine cellar replete with vaulted ceilings and wrought iron chandeliers. To get there head toward the front desk, turn left, and then look for the clipboard wielding doorman.

History

The imitation wine cellar changed its label

The Bryant Park Hotel opened in 2001 in the 1924 offices of the American Radiator and Standard Sanitary Company, and its Cellar Bar was all vaulted ceilings, plush banquettes and a backlit glass wall1, 2. Its crowd ran to suits and halter tops2. In 2017 the imitation wine cellar, as we called it, was refurbished and renamed Célon Cocktail Bar & Lounge1, 3. It holds up to 150 guests on two tiers, and in October 2026 it was open with a monthly entertainment calendar4, 5.
