History

A French bistro that took a number

Bar Six began as La Gauloise, its owners' traditional French bistro, established in 1978¹. In 1994 they revamped it, and Bar Six was born¹. Its website now calls it a French Moroccan bistro in the heart of Greenwich Village, from the restaurateurs Steve Tzolis and Nicola Kotsoni¹.
