Overview

If Milo Minderbinder owned a bar this would be it. The theme is loosely WWII, but the after-work crush of mid-level managers and marketing interns, is best enjoyed by those who can easily set their better human instincts aside and just go for it.

History

Cheese plates for both sides of the war

Catch-22 arrived in Flatiron in 2008 as an after-work bar with a theme, World War II and the postwar '40s, down to an army helmet behind the bar1. Our old review said that if Milo Minderbinder owned a bar, this would be it, and the menu bore that out with an Allied cheese plate (English, Swiss) and an Axis one (Italian, French)2. The bar is gone, and Time Out's listing now reads simply "Catch-22 (CLOSED)"2.
