Overview

Head downstairs to the unmarked black door and ring the little white buzzer to gain entry to a this cozy beer lovers bar in the former Bourgeois Pig West space. There's a unique selection of bottle beers (weighted heavily with Belgian Ales) and a small but thoughtful wine selection.

History

Still down the rabbit hole

By December 2007, 124 Old Rabbit Club was in the old Bourgeois Pig West space, down fire-escape steps behind an unmarked black door, with a buzzer to get in1. In 2017 The Infatuation called it a below-ground tiny dive with maybe 10 seats and a craft beer nerd's dream2, and in 2019 Time Out said rarities, indie labels and European beers were the order there3. Time Out's 2019 listing has it bubbling with life beneath the streets, and an undated video guide calls it a cozy speakeasy-style bar on MacDougal Street3, 4.
